WHICH SAN FRANCISCO BUILDINGS ARE AFFECTED?
Any building can be affected by dry rot. It is commonly found in spaces that are dark and damp, like under stairs, in basements, behind plaster, in flooring, or in basements.
VCE’S SAN FRANCISCO DRY ROT REPAIR SERVICES
Our approach to lasting dry rot repair starts with removing all of the affected wood. Loosened material must be removed from all surfaces that have been infested, including masonry and metal. Once all debris is removed, we extract all dry rot through a two-part process that ensures it will not recur. Next, we make all repairs to damaged components of the structure, such as mud sills, floor beams, and floor joists. If needed, we will finish the job by installing a sump pump to prevent moisture levels that lead to dry rot damage. Removing standing water sources and installing vapor barriers on walls and floors may be necessary, as well as a self-draining dehumidifier in the space.
